Investors in People

An aspiring philosophy

We aspire to provide for people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders, an environment of care in which they are encouraged to develop confidence and skills, to empower them with choice in reaching their full potential. Our goal is to work closely with family, community and local authorities to ensure that the clients we work with become integrated and valued within society.

Aspire's focus is on the importance of recognizing everyone as an individual; we offer a range of services all based on careful assessment followed by the designing, tailoring and reviewing of personal programmes to suit needs:
  • Residential Care
  • Supported Living
  • Specialised Care in the Community

Lifestyle aspirations

Aspire is a provider of quality care, offering caring and creative responses to our service users, some of whom may challenge services. We offer respite, permanent residential and day care. The service is geared to the needs of people with learning disability, autism and related conditions. We aim to actively intervene by reducing anxiety, assist in learning and provide an environment which has the appropriate challenge to our clients.

Person-centred Planning

Adjustments are made to individual programmes to cater for most levels of disability. Planning is conducted on an individual basis and reflects disability, needs, age, views and wishes, based on input from service users and advocates. Before placement a thorough assessment of individual needs and the scheme's capability is made. All placements are subject to a trial period and placements are only made if we can provide the appropriate service

Supporting advocacy

Effective advocacy can transform the lives of people with learning disabilities, enabling them to express their wishes and aspirations to make real choices. We provide the support required by many service users to become effective self-advocates. This enables service users to put forward their views and play an active part in planning and designing services which are responsive to their needs.

Enabling Partnerships

We encourage service users to develop feelings of security and to form relationships with others, in the immediate and the extended community. We actively encourage involvement of families in the support of their family member and seek to involve them in discussions concerning their welfare.
